Matt Impola is the founder of Kingsley Design & Build, a Franklin, Tennessee–based design-build firm rooted in the belief that spaces should be built with care, intention, and respect for what endures. Kingsley serves homeowners and commercial clients who value quality over quantity and understand that meaningful work is rarely rushed.

Matt grew up on jobsites alongside his father and comes from a line of builders, craftsmen, and pioneers who worked with their hands and stood behind what they made. As a young man, he spent countless hours building tree houses and small structures, forming an instinct for how things fit together and why they last—an education shaped as much by observation as by doing.

That foundation was strengthened over more than a decade with a large residential home builder, where Matt was directly involved in the development and construction of over 1,000 homes. The experience shaped his respect for sound process, disciplined sequencing, and steady leadership. Alongside that builder’s discipline is a lifelong commitment to design and craft, with work earning national recognition from Dwell, HGTV, and Country Living for its attention to proportion, comfort, and thoughtful use of space.

Matt believes our work should reflect God as good, true, and beautiful, and that craftsmanship is one way those ideals take physical form. His faith shapes how he approaches design, work, and relationships—with humility, stewardship, and a responsibility to invest in others. Today, Kingsley Design & Build operates throughout Middle Tennessee, intentionally taking on a limited number of residential and commercial projects each year while training and mentoring the next generation of craftsmen. The goal is simple: not to build more, but to build better—spaces that feel settled, function well, and stand the test of time.
